Kamsale is a musical instrument made of brass discs tied together with jute threads.As it can be swung around the body easily due to the threads tying it while dancing, the form is called as “Beesu Kamsale”.

This art form requires 3 artists to a maximum of 8 artists to perform. There are 2 forms of this dance, namely ‘Tattu Battalu’ and ‘Tar Battalu’. This dance astonishes you with the tremendous skill and effort that is required in using the kamsale while the dancer sways, jumps, hops and bends to the high pitched music while the kamsale made of brass creates nada or music in turn creating the right beats without the dancers losing track of counts. The people of Mahadeshwara Gudda perform this dance to please the Lord Mahadeshwara.
